The person looking for a property and the person listing it never receive each other’s name, phone number, email address, or other contact details from Aangan — not when interest is expressed, not when a meeting is scheduled, and not after it takes place.
Only authorized Aangan administrators can see both parties’ contact details to help arrange a viewing or call. We never sell the same inquiry to multiple agents.
Information we collect
- Account information: mobile number for one-time-code login; name and optional email if you choose to provide them.
- Property information: details, location, pricing, and photos that an owner submits for a listing.
- Interest and activity: saved properties, search preferences you save, inquiries, preferred contact time, and scheduled viewing or call status.
- Operational records: limited records of administrator outreach and inquiry status changes, accessible only to authorized staff.
We do not ask for identity documents, payment details, or precise device location in this version. Browsing properties does not require an account.
How we use it
We use your information to run your account, verify listings, show you relevant spaces, save your preferences, coordinate introductions or viewings when you ask us to, send essential service updates, prevent abuse, and meet applicable legal requirements. We only contact you about an inquiry or listing you have opted into.
On first sign-in, we ask for explicit consent before creating an inquiry. You can stop using the service and request account deletion at any time.
Your choices & rights
In line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask what personal data we hold about you, correct your profile, withdraw consent by deleting your account, and request erasure subject to legal retention obligations. You can edit your profile and delete your account directly in Profile & settings .
You can also remove saved properties, delete saved searches, and sign out. If you need help exercising a data right, contact us using the address below.
Security & retention
Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies and short-lived access tokens. Authentication requests are rate-limited, administrator access requires a second factor, and private lead records are restricted by server-side authorization and explicit response serializers.
We keep account and property information while your account is active, and keep operational records only for as long as reasonably necessary for service, safety, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Deleting an account removes associated profile information, saved items, listings, and inquiries from the active database, except where retention is legally required.
No online service is entirely risk-free. If we identify an incident affecting your personal data, we will take appropriate steps under applicable law.
